Abstract
This paper reports the implemented analytical and predictive layers of a data-driven decision-support framework for dynamic pricing in the Bandung-Jakarta intercity corridor. The study follows Design Science Research Methodology and uses observational snapshots from KAI intercity rail, BHISA shuttle, and Whoosh high-speed rail. A provenance-preserving hourly data warehouse and OLAP layer first characterizes cross-modal repricing heterogeneity. KAI is then reconstructed at the physical-departure–class–observed-hour grain to model inventory trajectories rather than fare-subclass fragments. The predictive target, future_pressure_entry_t6, asks whether a currently non-critical KAI departure-class enters a critical state (remaining capacity ≤ 10%) within six hours, for prediction indices at 6–24 hours to departure. OBSERVED, causal-safe MEAN, MEDIAN, and KNN variants are evaluated using matched cohorts, grouped chronological splits, and a sealed one-shot test. C4.5 achieved the highest validation AUPRC (0.629) among C4.5, CART, Random Forest, and Naive Bayes. On the final OBSERVED reference test, AUPRC was 0.391 and ROC-AUC 0.723. Missing-data treatments produced metric-dependent behavior on the matched resolved cohort. The resulting score is interpreted as an early-warning risk signal, not as a pricing action; downstream pricing-policy implementation is outside the empirical scope of this paper.
This study develops a leakage-aware evaluation workflow for predicting shipment dispatch delays at the time of order, auditing when each predictor becomes available and quantifying how much apparent accuracy on the DataCo dataset derives from post-outcome information.
On 172,765 completed DataCo shipments, a...
Background: Authority-supplied daily port figures may be allocations of coarser records rather than measurements. Treating them as observed gate counts can produce spurious model accuracy. Methods: Using 365 daily container-discharge records for 2019 from the Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA), we apply four provenance diagn...

Last-mile planning benefits from two complementary predictive signals before routing: expected package demand at candidate consolidation nodes and area-level road risk. This study develops a retrospective, digital-twin-oriented framework for a Los Angeles case study. It aligns delivery, weather, map, and collision reco...
Electricity retailers and load aggregators must schedule energy before actual demand is known. This study develops a data-to-decision framework for an experimental aggregate demand portfolio constructed from high-resolution smart-meter measurements for Laayoune, Boujdour, Foum El Oued, and Marrakech, Morocco. Seventeen...

Background: Port access traffic combines pronounced calendar structure with substantial day-to-day variability, raising the question of whether temporal heterogeneity should condition a common forecasting configuration or support model specialization. Methods: Daily car and freight-truck arrivals at an urban non-contai...
Heterogeneity in route activity and the need to clearly distinguish among observations, scenario assumptions, and operational requirements pose challenges for the short-horizon forecasting of railway coal origin–destination (OD) flows. SCOUT implements overlapping design objectives for longer-term tendencies, periodic...
