Calculation of distribution network loss and voltage-reactive power optimization loss reduction model
Abstract
Excessive reactive power transmission and three-phase imbalance cause heavy distribution network loss and voltage violations. Traditional fixed-weight multi-objective Volt-VAR modules in GridLAB-D cannot dynamically coordinate loss reduction and voltage regulation, and most existing studies only adopt small-scale test feeders without objective trade-off analysis and algorithm comparison [1]. This paper proposes an adaptive hierarchical weighting multi-objective Volt-VAR optimization algorithm, which adjusts objective weights according to voltage violation severity and realizes secondary development on GridLAB-D [2]. Newton-Raphson power flow serves as the bottom constraint solver [3]. Joint simulations on IEEE 13-node and IEEE 123-node feeders are carried out, combined with Pareto frontier analysis and multi-algorithm comparison [4]. Results show the proposed method reduces network loss by 24.47% (13-node) and 26.9% (123-node), with all node voltages within the ±10% national standard [5]. The model balances economic operation and power quality, providing support for distribution network reactive power compensation.
