Abstract

With the increasing penetration of distributed renewable energy and flexible loads, distribution networks face higher requirements for coordinated safe, economic and green operation. Traditional monitoring methods mainly focus on safety violations, while economic and low-carbon operation deviations are not sufficiently considered. This paper proposes a real-time monitoring and active control method for complex distribution networks. Multi-source data from distribution automation terminals, smart meters, GIS platforms and renewable energy monitoring devices are integrated. Dynamic economic and green targets are formulated from screened historical samples using quantile statistics under corresponding load intervals and weather scenarios. A target deviation-based warning mechanism is then established to identify abnormal line loss, operation cost, renewable energy consumption and carbon emission intensity. In addition, green targets are decomposed by supply areas and load function types to support feeder-level analysis. Case studies on a modified IEEE 33-bus system show that the proposed method reduces voltage violations, line loss, operation cost, carbon emission intensity, and red-warning frequency while improving renewable energy consumption.
