Abstract

This study developed and evaluated MathEase, a game-based digital learning system designed to support Grade 1 mathematics instruction in alignment with the Philippine MATATAG Curriculum. The system integrates gamified learning activities, interactive lessons, audiovisual feedback, teacher dashboards, and performance analytics to provide an engaging and learner-centered learning environment. The Agile Software Development Methodology was employed throughout the development process to ensure iterative refinement based on stakeholder feedback. A total of 104 respondents, including teachers, pupils, and school administrators from Trento Central Elementary School, evaluated the system using the ISO/IEC 25010 Software Quality Model, which assessed functional suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainability, and portability. The system obtained an overall weighted mean of 4.43 (Acceptable), indicating that it meets recognized software quality standards and is suitable for educational use. The findings suggest that MathEase provides a reliable, secure, and user-friendly supplementary digital learning platform that supports learner engagement and assists teachers in monitoring pupil progress through real-time analytics.
