Abstract

The paper addresses the challenge of ensuring the integrity of personal data in modern information systems and proposes a method that leverages cryptographic hash functions and blockchain infrastructure. The rapid growth in the volume of personal data processed in digital services significantly increases the risk of unauthorized modification, data inconsistency, and compromise within centralized storage systems. The proposed approach involves separating the environment for storing primary personal data from the environment for recording its cryptographic representation, thereby reducing the risk of hidden data manipulation. Within the method, a hash representation of a structured set of personal data is generated, accounting for contextual parameters such as timestamps, data source identifiers, and record versioning. The resulting hash value is recorded on a blockchain network as a transaction, ensuring the immutability of the recorded data state and enabling independent verification without disclosing the data itself. The study presents conceptual and structural models of the personal data integrity control system, formalizes the mathematical model of hash representation generation, and describes the implementation algorithm of the proposed method. A key feature of the approach is the inclusion of contextual data parameters in the hashing process, enabling tracking of changes over time and improving the accuracy of modification detection. A comparative analysis with traditional centralized integrity control methods demonstrates the advantages of the proposed solution in terms of resistance to unauthorized modifications, scalability, and reliability. The obtained results confirm the effectiveness of blockchain-based approaches for integrity verification and the feasibility of applying the method in medical, financial, and e-government information systems.
