Oct 2026 · International Journal of Computer Science and Mathematical Theory · 0 citations

Abstract

The review discussed management information systems and how they relate to Blockchain technology. A systematic review and meta-analysis are employed as research methods. A total of 8,307 articles were selected from different databases, screened out those that did not meet the criteria, and scaled down to 35 articles. The researchers used keywords to search for articles published between 2020 and 2024. The findings reveal the integration of Blockchain technology and management information systems in building stronger, protective, secure, and privacy-oriented data and information capturing, saving, processing, and getting quick access to records and transactions are more realistic. The findings also indicated that Blockchain Technology as it relates to management information systems provides users with easy access to data or information and ensures secure, transparent, traceable, and effective information management. It also maintains privacy, security, and confidentiality through its immutable and decentralized features.
