Abstract

The article provides a theoretical substantiation of the concept of the project-digital approach as a contemporary methodological framework for the professional training of future Master’s students in Physical Culture and Sport in the context of the digital transformation of higher education. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to modernize the content of Master’s education in accordance with current trends in the digitalization of education, the development of Open Science, the rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence technologies, and the promotion of academic integrity.Based on an analysis of national and international scholarly literature, regulatory and legal documents, and contemporary pedagogical concepts, the essence of the project-digital approach is defined as an integrative pedagogical approach that ensures the systematic integration of project-based learning, a digital educational environment, research activities, learning analytics, generative artificial intelligence tools, and the principles of academic integrity within a unified system of professional training for future Master’s students in Physical Culture and Sport. A structural-functional model of the project-digital approach has been developed, encompassing the conceptual-target, project-methodological, digital-technological, research-analytical, outcome-reflective, and academic integrity components. Their functional purposes and the specific features of their interaction within the educational process are identified and substantiated. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the theoretical substantiation of the project-digital approach as a contemporary methodological framework for the professional training of future Master’s students in Physical Culture and Sport, as well as in defining its essence, implementation principles, structural-functional components, and the mechanisms for their integration into the educational process. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying the proposed concept as a methodological basis for modernizing educational programmes and academic disciplines, organizing the research activities of higher education students, and conducting further research on the digital transformation of professional education in the field of Physical Culture and Sport.
