Abstract

This article examines the linguistic and stylistic features of morphological repetitions in the epic language, based on the version of the epic "Manas" narrated by the outstanding manaschi Sagimbai Orozbakov. The research aims to identify the structural, semantic, artistic, and aesthetic functions of repetitions of various parts of speech within the epic's poetic system. Special attention is paid to the repeated use of nouns, adjectives, numerals, pronouns, adverbs, and verbs, which are vital means of organizing an epic text. The paper finds that morphological repetitions, although less common than sound and lexical repetitions, perform significant stylistic functions. They ensure the grammatical integrity and rhythmic organization of poetic lines, contribute to the creation of parallel syntactic constructions, and enhance both the expressiveness of the artistic image and the emotional impact of the text on the listener. The analysis of numerous examples shows that the repetition of word forms and grammatical markers contributes to the formation of a unified poetic structure, supporting the rhyme, rhythm, and melody of the epic narrative. A special place in the study is occupied by verbal repetitions, which most fully reflect the dynamics of events, the movement of characters, and the development of storylines. It is revealed that repetitive verb constructions not only convey action but also serve as a means of enhancing semantic load, detailing artistic depictions, and creating a specific epic intonation. The results of the study conclude that morphological repetitions are an important component of the artistic system of the epic "Manas," performing aesthetic, expressive, rhythm-forming, and text-forming functions. These findings can be used in further research on the stylistics of the Kyrgyz language, the poetics of the epic text, and the problems of artistic speech.
