Penerapan Metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) pada Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Pemilihan Siswa Berprestasi Berbasis Web di SMP Katolik Palla
Abstract
The selection of outstanding students at SMP Katolik Palla still faces challenges due to a manual assessment process, particularly in terms of subjectivity, data processing, and documentation of selection results. This study aims to implement the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) to support a more structured selection process for outstanding students. Data were collected through observation and interviews and consisted of student data, assessment criteria, and student scores. AHP was applied to determine the priority weights of the criteria through pairwise comparisons, matrix normalization, and consistency testing. The system uses five criteria: Academic, Non-Academic, Attendance/Discipline, Attitude/Behavior, and Extracurricular Activity. The calculation results produced criterion weights of 42.24%, 25.22%, 15.06%, 10.20%, and 7.27%, respectively. The consistency test resulted in a Consistency Ratio (CR) of 0.0166, indicating that the pairwise comparison matrix was consistent because CR < 0.10. The alternative scores were then processed using the resulting criterion weights to determine the final scores and student rankings. Functional testing using the Black Box Testing method showed that the main system functions operated according to the defined test scenarios. The results indicate that the implementation of AHP in a DSS can integrate the processes of criterion management, student assessment, calculation, and ranking in a structured manner and can serve as a decision-support tool for school selection processes.
