Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Moncerna (Monopoli Cerdas Pencernaan) untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Materi Sistem Pencernaan Manusia Kelas V SDN Sukorame 2
Abstract
Instruction on the human digestive system within the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) curriculum for fifth-grade elementary students remains dominated by lecture-based methods and limited use of instructional media, resulting in low student enthusiasm and poor learning outcomes. This study aimed to develop "Moncerna" (Smart Digestive System Monopoly) an instructional medium that is valid, practical, and effective to improve student learning outcomes regarding the human digestive system. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, comprising the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Conducted at SD Negeri 2 Sukorame in Kediri City, the study involved subject matter experts, media experts, two fifth-grade teachers, 12 students for a limited trial, and 40 students for an extensive trial. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests, and subsequently analyzed for validity and practicality, alongside an N-Gain test to determine the medium's effectiveness. The results indicated that the Moncerna medium achieved validity ratings of 94% from subject matter experts and 88% from media experts, placing it in the "highly valid" category. Regarding practicality, the medium received a 94% rating from teachers and 96% from students, falling into the "highly practical" category. Effectiveness analysis yielded an N-Gain score of 0.7582 (high category), demonstrating an improvement in student learning outcomes following the use of the Moncerna medium. Consequently, the Moncerna instructional medium is deemed highly valid, highly practical, and effective, making it suitable for use in teaching the human digestive system within the fifth-grade IPAS curriculum.
