Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Flashcard Berbasis Etnomatematika Candi Tegowangi pada Materi Bangun Datar untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas IV SD
Abstract
This research was motivated by observations, interviews, questionnaires, and an analysis of student learning outcomes conducted in the fourth grade class at SDN Campurejo 2. Preliminary findings indicated that the mathematics instruction regarding 2D shapes was dominated by the lecture method, relying primarily on textbooks, with no utilization of instructional media. This study aimed to develop ethnomathematics-based flashcard media incorporating elements of the Tegowangi Temple to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary students regarding 2D shapes. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, comprising the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Conducted at SDN Campurejo 2, the study involved a subject group consisting of a content expert validator, a media expert validator, one fourth-grade teacher, seven students for the limited trial, and twenty students for the field trial. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and pre- and post-tests. The results showed that the media achieved a validity rating of 98% from the content expert and 86% from the media expert. Practicality was demonstrated by a 94% positive response from the teacher and a 92% positive response from the students. Effectiveness testing based on N-Gain scores yielded an average of 0.7762, falling into the high category. Consequently, the Tegowangi Temple ethnomathematics-based flashcard media was deemed highly valid, practical, and effective, making it suitable for enhancing student learning outcomes regarding 2D shapes while integrating local culture into mathematics instruction.
