Abstract

We study a Brownian time change on the unit square whose speed measure is constructed from a Dirichlet eigenfunction expansion with independent non-Gaussian coefficients. For $0<\gamma<\sqrt2$, the measure is obtained by a second-moment martingale argument. Finite coefficient translations induce coherent exponential tilts of the speed measure, and conditioning on the complementary coefficients gives positive Lebesgue densities on every finite-dimensional orbit. Unitary transport along these orbits gives a common-domain analytic family and explicit first-order cluster derivatives. A first-order splitting argument proves almost-sure simplicity, while the local eigenfunction-square identity and a Vandermonde argument give joint densities for all finite vectors of ordered positive eigenvalues.

Mean convergence for Banach space-valued random elements indexed in measure spaces

This article studies mean convergence of Banach space-valued random elements indexed in a family of finite measure spaces. We derive $L^p$-convergence theorems under (compact) uniform integrability in two regimes: a decaying-index-mass regime and a bounded-index-mass regime, the latter requiring a new dependence structure which is called diagonal negative dependence for the random elements and expressed via the self-product of the index measure. We provide examples showing that the conditions to obtain the results are sharp and strictly weaker than related conditions in the literature. As a further illustration for the index measure space framework, a functional law of large numbers in $L^p$ on the space of continuous functions is derived, where the random elements are solutions of stochastic differential equations driven by Brownian motions extracted from a common Brownian sheet.

Response Calculus for Spectral Simplicity and Joint Eigenvalue Densities

We develop a perturbative response calculus for spectral problems obtained by changing the speed measure of a fixed symmetric energy form in a Gaussian environment. If Cameron--Martin translation acts by $\mu_{x+f}=e^{\kappa f}\mu_x$, unitary transport identifies the varying $L^2$ spaces and produces a common-domain analytic family. For a positive eigenvalue $\Lambda$, the first-order operator is $-\kappa\Lambda$ times the compression of multiplication by $f$ to the $\Lambda$-eigenspace; its eigenvalues are the derivatives of the analytic branches issuing from $\Lambda$. A countable separation condition and finite-dimensional Gaussian disintegration then give almost-sure simplicity; a response-transversality condition and the inverse function theorem give joint densities for all finite vectors of positive ordered eigenvalues. We verify these hypotheses for every $0<\gamma<2$ in two models: Dirichlet Liouville Brownian motion on an arbitrary bounded connected planar domain, and the Liouville--Cauchy operator on the circle. In the first model the whole spectrum is almost surely simple; in the second the constants form the deterministic zero mode and the positive spectrum is almost surely simple. Transversality follows from a local eigenfunction-square identity in the Brownian case and its nonlocal jump-form analogue in the Cauchy case.

Conditioned Brownian motion and local equivalence of path ensembles

We study Brownian motion in R^d conditioned so that the time average of a continuous confining potential remains below a fixed level. On every fixed initial time interval, we prove that the conditioned process converges in total variation to the ground-state diffusion associated with a suitable Schr\"odinger operator. We also obtain sharp asymptotics for the probability of the conditioning event, including bounded perturbations of the constraint. The proof is based on a local limit theorem for the corresponding Feynman-Kac measures. Our results extend the previously known one-dimensional quadratic case to arbitrary finite dimension and a broad class of confining potentials, therefore resolving a conjecture of Aurzada, Lifshits and Schickentanz. The presented approach also works when Brownian motion is replaced by suitable reversible Markov processes, including multidimensional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes, CIR processes and continuous-time Markov chains.

Spectral gap for the three-dimensional damped cubic wave equation with degenerate noise

We establish a weighted Wasserstein spectral gap for the three-dimensional damped cubic wave equation with genuinely finite rank Brownian forcing. Under a saturation condition, the gap holds with respect to the negative phase topology $\mathcal E_s=H^{-s}\times H^{-1-s}$ for every $0<s<1/2$, from which we deduce unique ergodicity and exponential mixing in the energy topology. Sharp geometric characterizations of the saturation condition are also obtained. The method we develop is a stable--compact asymptotic coupling mechanism for hypoelliptic dissipative SPDEs beyond the parabolic setting. Instead of relying on positive time smoothing or asymptotic gradient estimates, it reduces the infinite-dimensional obstruction to contraction to a compact defect in a weaker coupling topology. Dense Malliavin range then permits this defect to be compensated by a finite dimensional Cameron--Martin shift, producing a finite distance contraction on bounded Lyapunov cores. Together with a separate high energy contraction from dissipation, this yields a global weighted Wasserstein spectral gap.

Limiting eigenvalue distribution and entropy of multi-Toeplitz matrices

We state and prove a version of Szeg\H{o}'s first limit theorem for multi-Toeplitz operators acting in the full Fock space in $d\geq 2$ letters. In particular we show that the eigenvalue distributions of truncated multi-Toeplitz operators converge to a limiting distribution. We compute this limiting distribution and its associated entropy in some special cases. Even in the simplest examples the limiting distribution is quite different from the classical case (corresponding to $d=1$); in these examples we obtain a purely atomic measure, which admits a probabilistic interpretation in connection with a percolation process associated to a simple tridiagonal random matrix model.

Completely Positive Entropy and Fourier Central Limit Theorems for Stationary Random Measures

We prove an almost-everywhere Fourier central limit theorem for stationary random measures on $\bR^d$ with local second moments whose translation action is essentially free and has completely positive entropy. For the resulting almost-everywhere defined Bartlett density $s_\eta$, we show that there is a single $\lambda_d$-conull set of frequencies, independent of the test functions, on which finite collections of normalized smooth-window Fourier transforms converge jointly to proper complex Gaussian limits with covariance determined by $s_\eta$. No quantitative mixing, correlation-decay, or cumulant-summability assumption is imposed. For stationary point processes of positive intensity, the same good-frequency set yields Gaussian limits for ball-window Fourier transforms and exponential limits for their squared moduli. We also construct a stationary ergodic zero-entropy random measure with bounded continuous Bartlett density, positive $\lambda_1$-almost everywhere, for which the Fourier central limit theorem fails.
