Educação inclusiva: um desafio para os educadores
Abstract
This research addresses the topic “Inclusive education: a challenge for educators,” since it is known that inclusion has raised questions among educators and created challenges for teachers, most of whom were not, and many of whom still are not, prepared or qualified to deal with issues related to inclusion. This study aims to reflect on inclusive education as a challenge for educators. To provide a better understanding of the topic, a bibliographic review was conducted, drawing on authors who address the subject, including Mantoan (2006), Bueno (2001, 2003), Pinto (1999), among others. The results show that the effective implementation of inclusive education depends not only on the legal guarantee of access to mainstream schools, but also on the continuous training of teachers, family participation, structural adaptations within educational institutions, and the development of methodologies that respect the differences and potential of each student. It is concluded that school inclusion represents an ongoing process of educational and social transformation, requiring collective commitment to ensure quality, democratic, and accessible education for all.
