Abstract

This research proposes two level tamper detection in a semi-fragile image watermarking. The primary challenge in semi-fragile image watermarking is to achieve the balance between the visual imperceptibility of the watermarked image and the effectiveness of tamper detection. This study investigates the best embedding location for embedding authentication data against malicious, incidental, and hybrid attacks. The best embedding location in the semi-fragile can be achieved by evaluating coefficient pairs in the DCT coefficients. In the first step, the proposed tamper detection will check each surrounding block of non-tampered blocks. In the second step detection, the proposed method will re-evaluate the corresponding tampered block, it is being tampered with or not. The experimental results present the proposed embedding scheme produced an imperceptibility PSNR about 40.9807 dB and SSIM about 0.9790 for various RGB images from USC-SIPI, UCID-1338, Kodak-PCD0992, and Stanford Dogs image datasets. The proposed scheme effectively localizes malicious attacks across different tampering rates and maintains an average accuracy of 0.9964 under malicious attack, and an average value of 0.6155 under hybrid attack.

Robust Digital Watermarking for Multimedia Content Authentication in DWT-DCT Domain

Most of the existing single domain Watermarking schemes suffer with security of multimedia content. To address this limitation, a hybrid watermarking framework integrating DWT and DCT transforms is introduced in this study. The proposed approach initially applies the Arnold transform to the color cover image to strengt...

An approach for robust digital image watermarking using DWTPCA

A complete approach for watermarking is presented in this System, by using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). There are some watermarking techniques like DCT, DWT, and DWT-SVD, but there is a disadvantage in the watermarking to withstand attacks. Hence the new digital image waterma...

Digital Image Protection Using Reversible Watermarking And Private Symmetric Key Encryption Technique

igital watermarking is a technique which has been recommended as a way to achieve digital protection. The aim of digital watermarking is to embed the data into the image without affecting the visual quality. The related work defines a robust block-based watermarking system on the singular value decomposition (SVD) and...

A Resilient Image Watermarking Using Schur Decomposition, IWT, and Reinforcement Learning Optimization

With the ubiquity of digital imagery, there is a heightened concern about verification of ownership and integrity of content. A robust watermark recovery that is tolerant of both intentional and unintentional distortions is still very challenging. In order to overcome these drawbacks, an image watermarking scheme is pr...
