Abstract

ABSTRACT The growing demand for universal internet access has highlighted the limitations of conventional terrestrial communication infrastructures, particularly in remote, rural, maritime, and disaster-affected regions. Satellite-Based Internet Communication Systems have emerged as a transformative solution capable of delivering broadband connectivity across vast geographical areas where traditional wired and wireless networks are either unavailable or economically infeasible. Recent advancements in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), and Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellite technologies have significantly improved communication speed, coverage, latency, and network reliability. Furthermore, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Software Defined Networking (SDN), and advanced signal processing techniques has enhanced satellite network performance and resource utilization. This paper presents a comprehensive study of Satellite-Based Internet Communication Systems and proposes an Artificial Intelligence-Enabled Satellite Communication Framework (AI-SCF) designed to optimize network efficiency, coverage, and service quality. The proposed framework integrates intelligent routing, adaptive bandwidth allocation, machine learning-based traffic prediction, and dynamic satellite resource management. Performance evaluation demonstrates significant improvements in throughput, latency reduction, coverage reliability, and network scalability compared with conventional satellite communication architectures. The findings indicate that satellite internet systems will serve as a fundamental pillar of future 6G communication ecosystems and global digital inclusion initiatives. Research on security and zero-trust access authentication for large-scale LEO satellite networking

With the deep integration of aerospace technology and information technology, large-scale low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation networking has become the core infrastructure supporting the development of new-generation communications, navigation, remote sensing and other fields by virtue of its advantages such as global coverage, low latency and high bandwidth. Large-scale LEO constellation networking realizes interconnection between satellites, satellites and ground, and satellites and user terminals through inter-satellite links and satellite-ground links, constructing a "space-ground-user" three-in-one information transmission system. Compared with traditional ground networks and small-scale LEO constellations, large-scale LEO satellite networking is characterized by a large number of satellites, strong on-orbit dynamics, high link openness, dynamic changes in networking topology, frequent switching of inter-satellite links, diverse access terminals, and constrained node resources. The traditional boundary defense concept is not applicable, and existing protection measures suffer from insufficient protection efficiency, poor adaptability and lack of coordination, making it difficult to comprehensively cope with various network security threats. This paper systematically sorts out the core characteristics and typical security threats of large-scale LEO satellite networking, deeply analyzes the core concepts and key technologies of zero-trust access authentication, proposes a zero-trust access authentication framework adapted to large-scale LEO satellite networking, clarifies the overall architecture, core modules and implementation process of the framework, and verifies the security and feasibility of the framework through logical analysis.

Application of LEO satellite communication in electric power emergency scenarios

Traditional power communication networks mainly rely on terrestrial transmission methods. In natural disaster emergency scenarios, they are highly vulnerable to line damage, coverage interruption, and fragile communication links, making it difficult to ensure communication continuity and reliability. As a result, they struggle to meet the requirements of newtype power systems for emergency communication and real-time monitoring. Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communication, with its advantages of low altitude, low latency, and wide coverage, can establish a highly resilient communication network, significantly improving communication reliability and robustness. Therefore, it shows great potential for application in power emergency communication scenarios. To address communication support challenges in emergency power service scenarios, this paper constructs a three-layer collaborative communication architecture consisting of on-site terminals, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), LEO satellites, and a ground emergency command center. Considering that different services have diverse communication requirements, a priority-aware bandwidth allocation strategy is introduced. On this basis, a priority-based Lagrangian bandwidth allocation method is proposed. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm not only satisfies service priority requirements but also further reduces the transmission delay of different services.
