Abstract

When designing and constructing massive concrete hydraulic structures, it is necessary to maintain the temperature regime of structures that ensure crack resistance. Crack resistance depends on the possibility of internal tensile stresses. To eliminate this, it is necessary to take measures to regulate the temperature regime of concrete blocks, especially at an early age. On large construction sites, various methods of surface care are used. This work is devoted to an urgent problem in the field of calculating the thermally stressed state of concrete blocks. Full-scale experimental studies of the effect of various methods of concrete care have been performed. It was revealed that the greatest effect is provided by moistening or watering the concrete surface in the presence of a tent. A method has been developed for calculating the heating of water when watering the concrete surface of freshly laid concrete. A formula has been obtained that may have practical application. The proposed methodology takes into account the temperature of irrigation water, area and air temperature. The results of laboratory studies showed the influence of the temperature load and the age of loading of concrete samples on their deformative characteristics: the modulus of elasticity of concrete and the thermal coefficient of linear expansion. To ensure thermal crack resistance, it is recommended to adhere to the permissible heating of concrete.
