Abstract
Lockers commonly used in daily life, both in public and private spaces, are generally still conventional and rely on metal keys for security. However, physical keys often cause problems such as being lost or misplaced. With the rapid advancement of technology, many devices can now be integrated with digital systems, including lockers frequently used by the public. Therefore, this project aims to develop a locker security system based on fingerprint and RFID technology integrated with a website, in order to enhance both security and user convenience. The system utilizes a fingerprint sensor for user authentication and RFID as an additional access card. The ESP32 microcontroller serves as the data processor and transmits information to the website. The website is developed using PHP as the main backend language and Bootstrap as the frontend framework to create a responsive and visually appealing interface. The development process applies the waterfall model, consisting of requirement analysis, design, implementation, and testing stages. Testing is carried out using the black-box method. The test results show that the system successfully improves security and convenience through dual-layer protection using fingerprint and RFID. In addition, the integrated website allows administrators and users to monitor user data and locker usage history efficiently.
The high rate of motorcycle theft has become a significant issue that requires an effective and integrated technology-based solution. This study aims to develop a smart motorcycle security and tracking system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) by utilizing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology as a user authentication system and the Global Positioning System (GPS) as a real-time vehicle tracking system. The methodology employed includes hardware and software design, integration of the RFID RC522 and GPS Neo-6M modules with an ESP32 IoT-based microcontroller, and system testing under eight usage scenarios covering RFID authentication, remote control and location requests via Telegram, GPS testing in open and covered areas, a power-supply test from the 12 V motorcycle battery, and a one-hour endurance test. The results indicate that the developed system is capable of enhancing vehicle security through an RFID-based authentication mechanism that only allows registered users to access the motorcycle. In addition, the GPS-based tracking feature enables accurate and real-time monitoring of the vehicle's location through a web-based or mobile application. The system performance evaluation shows a GPS tracking accuracy of ±3 meters in open areas, an RFID authentication response time of less than 1 second, and an average remote-control response time of 1–2 seconds via Telegram, although coordinate delivery was delayed in covered areas; the system also remained stable during a one-hour endurance test powered by the 12 V motorcycle battery. Therefore, the proposed system has the potential to serve as an innovative solution for improving motorcycle security and monitoring, as well as supporting the development of intelligent transportation technologies based on IoT
The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology provides great opportunities for automating attendance systems in organizations. This study aims to design and implement an attendance system based on RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) with data storage using a MySQL database. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller to read RFID cards and send attendance data to a server via the HTTP protocol. The server, built with PHP, processes and stores the data in MySQL in real time. A web dashboard developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript displays attendance information and provides a report export feature in PDF format. The implementation results show that the system records attendance quickly and accurately while minimizing fraud such as proxy attendance. The application of IoT integrated with MySQL proves effective in supporting efficiency, transparency, and the digitalization of organizational attendance management

The security of personal storage in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) often faces challenges due to the vulnerabilities of conventional locker locking systems, which are prone to lost or duplicated manual keys. This study aims to design and implement a smart locker security system (Smart Lock) utilizing biometric-based face verification technology and automated notifications. The research method applied is Research and Development (R&D) with an iterative Prototyping model, conducted at Pondok Pesantren Ta'limil Qur'an Baitussyakirin, Kendal. The system is built by integrating the ESP32-CAM microcontroller, a servo motor as the locking actuator, and the Telegram API platform for two-way wireless communication. The experimental results indicate that the face verification system achieves a 100% accuracy rate under bright lighting conditions and successfully rejects all unregistered faces. The integration with the Telegram Bot is highly responsive, yielding an average notification latency of under 2 seconds for locker activities. Furthermore, the remote control feature via the /buka command proved to be an effective emergency mitigation function when the camera sensor experienced reading failures under total darkness. Overall, this prototype system is viable and reliable for enhancing real-time locker monitoring and security.
