This paper presents design and development of a robust decentralized PI controller exploiting an analytical model based approach for multi-variable system. In this work, a two-degree-of-freedom control approach is employed to tackle load disturbance rejection, enhance robustness against parametric uncertainties, and ensure precise set-point tracking. Proposed 2-DoF based disturbance rejection decoupling control guarantees robust stability in the face of a

variation in process gain and delay, while preserving equivalent performance. The robustness of the proposed controller has been verified by sensitivity analysis employing various perturbation levels range of
$$\pm 40\%$$
. To exhibit the superiority of the proposed controller, three industry-scaled case studies are considered. The obtained response of the proposed controller has been compared with similar other model-based controllers. From the obtained results it is envisaged that, the proposed controller provides adequate servo and regulatory performance as compared to other earlier reported approaches.
The proposed paper focuses on introducing a simple and practical PI control approach based on the direct synthesis method for unstable first-order or integrating processes with time delay. The control scheme highlights the enhancement on set-point tracking and disturbance rejection so that good performance can be analy...

Abstract In this work, a novel robust controller design is proposed by integrating the Internal Model Control (IMC) and Virtual Reference Feedback Tuning (VRFT) strategy. The distinctive aspect of this case is the robust controller design that is produced by choosing the reference model M(z) and IMC filter while taking...

This paper presents the development and evaluation of an online robust adaptive control framework for a 14-degree-of-freedom (DOF) multi-fingered robotic hand (MFRH). Although standard adaptive control can provide asymptotic tracking under ideal disturbance-free conditions, persistent disturbances and modeling uncertai...

We propose a robust exact sliding-mode controller for reference tracking with model-based disturbance rejection, where the disturbance is generated by a linear time-invariant model driven by a bounded input and may be bidirectionally coupled with the plant. The controller embeds the internal model principle and its err...

This paper presents a robust quadrotor attitude control method that combines feedback linearization with an enhanced highorder sliding mode disturbance observer to address issues such as channel cross-coupling, model uncertainties, and both matched and mismatched disturbances. The proposed method with a prescribed ba...

To fulfill the dynamic and steady-state performance requirements of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) in speed regulation, a practical prescribed-time fuzzy adaptive control approach is investigated. First, a novel continuously differentiable time-varying scaling function is constructed, which avoids the prob...
