Synthesis , Characterization and Geometrical Optimization of Azo Carboxylate Zinc Complex
Abstract
A new azo carboxylate metal complex is synthesized by using the complexation of ligand (H3L) with Zn(II) metal salt using the molar ratio , Ligand: Metal = 2:1. The synthesized compound was characterized by single instrumental method such as experimental Ultraviolet–Visible spectroscopy . It is to be expressed that the tetrahedral structural geometry of Zn (II) complex changes the geometry of synthesized azo metal complex and also the structure–activity relationship of the ligand including their complexation indicate that the presence of electron‐donating moieties in the chemical structure increases the superior activity. Here zinc(Zn) metal binded with the azo carboxylate ligand whereas Ultra Violet-Visible study confirmed that the transition occurred as Charge-Transfer (CT) transition. A mini review is done by the computational techniques which is utmost essential for further importing the inherent properties. Although the comparative experimental and theoretical study will figure out the
