Abstract
Hindu Religious Education learning, particularly religious story materials, requires engaging and contextual media to help students understand the storyline and the values contained within it. This study aimed to develop a digital comic entitled The Story of Rsi Uddalaka and Svetaketu incorporating the values of Tri Hita Karana and to determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Singaraja. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests in the form of pretests and posttests. The validation results showed that the digital comic obtained a percentage of 100% and was categorized as highly valid. Responses from two teachers reached 93.33%, indicating that the product was highly practical, while responses from ten students reached 85%, indicating a positive response to the use of the media. The effectiveness test showed that the average learning outcome increased from 62.20 on the pretest to 89.20 on the posttest, representing an increase of 27.00 points. The paired-samples t-test resulted in a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes before and after the use of the digital comic. Based on these findings, the digital comic The Story of Rsi Uddalaka and Svetaketu incorporating Tri Hita Karana was considered valid, practical, and effective as a supporting medium for Hindu Religious Education learning among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Singaraja.
