The First Kiss Through the Short Story: Variations and Meanings
Abstract
This paper addresses the notion of short story from a postmodern perspective, following the principle that rather than postmodern stories, what really exists are keys and postmodern readings of contemporary stories. In two stories whose theme borders on the imprint of the first kiss, the sudden ending will be studied and which in turn entails the condition of an open ending as a semantic and hermeneutical multiplicity depending on the aesthetic degree, of valuation and reception of the readers-collaborators. The aim is to hermeneutically analyze the truth of the tree through the modern story from the literary aesthetic experience of young university students. It is carried out from a qualitative approach with the application of a dialogic exchange based on the reading of two selected stories with the theme of the kiss. Collaborating in the study are university students between the ages of 18 and 24 who were told the purpose of the research and were willing to participate. The categorization and interpretation of the researchers is carried out, concluding that being the same theme, the students acquired two literary aesthetic experiences.
