Cutaneous Melanoma Detection and Management
Abstract
This chapter discusses mobile health (mHealth), teledermatology, and AI-based remote monitoring in the management of vitiligo. It investigates mHealth platforms based on CNNs and Vision Transformers to detect lesions and automatically score the severity of VASI/VETF with standardised photography protocols. The models of teledermatology delivery, such as synchronous, asynchronous, and hybrid AI-enhanced, are critically reviewed and show that they have a concordance of diagnosis of over 92% with face-to-face evaluation. The next-generation ecosystems such as wearable UV dosimeters, colorimetric biosensors, federated learning, multimodal data fusion, and digital twins are explored. Issues of ethical implications in the context of algorithmic fairness of Fitzpatrick phototypes, I- VI, GDPR/HIPAA compliance, and informed consent are discussed. The chapter ends with a ten-year implementation roadmap and a priority research agenda to equitable digital vitiligo care.
The results indicate that software engineering work practices are chosen opportunistically, adapted and configured to provide value under the constrains imposed by the startup context.

It is found that roles of MVPs in startups were not fully aware by entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurs should consider a systematic approach to fully explore the value of MVP, as a multiple facet product (MFP).

It is found that what perceived as biggest challenges by software startups do vary across different life cycle stages, even though its significance decreases when the learning focuses of the startups move from problem to solution and their products mature.
