Day-Ahead Bilevel Scheduling of Interconnected Microgrids with Shared Energy Storage and Flexible Irrigation in Agricultural Integrated Energy Parks
Abstract
: A day-ahead scheduling framework integrating flexible irrigation, interconnected microgrids, and shared energy storage is developed for an agricultural integrated energy park. The irrigation demand is represented as a time-coupled linear constraint that preserves the daily water requirement while allowing hourly redistribution subject to flow and ramping limits, yielding a model compatible with mixed-integer linear programming. Two operational architectures are formulated and compared as a bundled configuration: independent local storage without inter-microgrid exchange, and shared storage with park-level interconnection. A differential-evolution–CPLEX decomposition is used to coordinate the upper-level shared-storage capacity decision with the lower-level joint microgrid scheduling problems. The numerical study is a mechanism-validation exercise within one representative deterministic 24-h benchmark. The results show that the model responds consistently to the specified changes in resource endowment, architecture, charging-time-slot settings, and market rules. All numerical outputs are reported transparently, and the solver-status context of each reported run is disclosed in Section 4; the quantitative claims of this paper are based on the within-benchmark comparisons described therein. The study does not establish seasonal, forecast-error, or multi-seed robustness, and these extensions are identified as future work.
