La voz poética de Narcisa Amália: lirismo, naturaleza y crítica social en Nebulosas
Abstract
This article analyzes the work Nebulosas (1872) by the 19th-century Brazilian poet, Narcisa Amália. Following the recent revival of her work, this paper proposes a critical reading that transcends its purely romantic classification to explore the complexity of her poetic voice. Using a literary analysis focused on symbolic and metaphorical structures, it examines three interconnected thematic axes: the construction of a melancholic lyrical self, the function of nature as a spiritual refuge and patriotic symbol, and the powerful social criticism in her abolitionist and republican poems. It concludes that Amália articulates a sophisticated poetic project where the intimate and the political are inseparable, establishing her as a central figure for literary and feminist studies in Latin America.
