Introduction to the Special Issue on Advanced Technologies in the Decentralized Web (Part 2)

Abstract

This editorial introduces the second part of the Special Issue on “Advanced Technologies in the Decentralized Web.” As the decentralized Web continues to evolve into a mature socio-technical ecosystem, new challenges emerge around governance, privacy, security, interoperability, and data management. This issue explores recent advances spanning DAO governance, privacy-preserving data exchange, blockchain security and MEV, layer-2 technologies, digital assets, semantic data processing, and decentralized storage. We provide an overview of the selected papers and highlight their contributions toward building decentralized systems that are secure, interoperable, accountable, and responsive to both technical and societal requirements.
