Abstract
In this paper, we propose a double-cooperative reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS)-aided secure and covert framework in symbiotic radio (SR) systems in the presence of an eavesdropper and a warden. In particular, one RIS is deployed to establish the primary communication link, while another backscatter device (BD)-based RIS modulates a signal onto the primary link to convey covert symbols via the backscatter link. We formulate an average bit error rate (BER) minimization problem via optimizing the transmit beamforming and RISs passive beamforming, while satisfying BD link covertness, security requirement of primary link and power budget constraints. We develop a penalty-based block coordinate descent (BCD) algorithm, in which the system configurations are efficiently solved by combining lagrange duality, successive convex approximation (SCA), and majorization-minimization (MM) method. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm by comparing it to benchmark strategy.
The proposed framework effectively translates the sensing gains into PLS advantages, significantly outperforming existing benchmarks and developing an algorithm based on Riemannian manifold optimization and alternating method to solve the resulting non-convex problem.

An alternating optimization (AO) framework is proposed, employing techniques including discrete binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO), successive convex approximation (SCA) and difference-of-convex (DC) programming to transform the optimization problem into convex subproblems.

In this paper, we study the physical layer security of reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) aided non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) downlink systems. A multi-antenna base station (BS) serves two NOMA users in the presence of a passive eavesdropper, and a RIS equipped with N passive phase-shifting elements is em...

Numerical results demonstrate that, compared to the RIS-NOMA-ISAC and RIS-RSMA-assisted ISAC scheme, the proposed RIS-RSMA-assisted ISAC scheme achieves approximately 6% and 35% improvements in secrecy sum rate, respectively.

An optimization framework is formulated to maximize the sum secrecy rate for both DL and UL, considering power budget constraints for sensing and communications, and an iterative joint Taylor-block cyclic coordinate descent (IJTB) method is introduced to approximate it as a convex problem.
