Abstract

The article examines the scientific and applied problem of increasing the efficiency of warehouse activities of retail enterprises through the introduction of specialized digital solutions. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the software products for warehouse automation available on the Russian market are often expensive, difficult to master, or do not take into account the specifics of particular organizations. The aim of the work is to substantiate and develop a concept for a digital solution to support warehouse business processes using the example of a company selling electrical and household goods. The methodological basis of the study includes methods of system analysis, functional and infological modeling (IDEF0, IDEF1X, UML), as well as tools for database design and application software development (ERwin, BPwin, Delphi, MS SQL Server). The study built a functional model of warehouse accounting processes, developed logical and physical models of a relational database, and designed the user interface and functionality of a business application. The result of the work is a prototype of the «Product Accounting» information system, which allows automating key operations: registration of customers and suppliers, maintaining product assortment, processing orders, incoming and outgoing invoices, as well as generating necessary reporting documents (invoices, waybills). The key advantage of the developed solution is its adaptability and the possibility of integration with the existing IT infrastructure of the enterprise. The results obtained can be used for automating warehouse processes in small and medium-sized businesses, which confirms the practical significance of the conducted research.
