Abstract

The integration of digital technologies across various economic sectors, the development of artificial intelligence systems, and the widespread use of data analytics are transforming not only work organization methods but also the structure of labor demand. Consequently, new job opportunities are emerging, while the content and functions of existing professions are being redefined to shape new labor models. Employees are increasingly becoming part of a "digital workforce," collaborating with digital agents, automated systems, and smart algorithms. This collaboration alters the nature of work, boosting productivity while simultaneously demanding new skills and continuous retraining. The current labor market is characterized by contradictory trends: while some sectors are experiencing a decrease in unemployment and facing labor shortages, the issue of skills mismatch continues to grow across the broader economy. The demand for new professions is accelerating rapidly, whereas many traditional occupations are gradually losing their significance. Within this context, the relevance of this research is driven by the systemic nature of technological transformations in the labor market and the critical need to assess new employment opportunities. The primary objective of this article is to identify technological and institutional factors and evaluate their impact on labor market transformations and the creation of new employment opportunities. To achieve this, the study sets the following specific objectives: • To identify the interconnection between labor market opportunities and technological transformations; • To examine the characteristics of a "digital workforce" and assess the impact of human-machine collaboration on operational efficiency; • To evaluate the growing demand for digital skills alongside the challenges of workforce skills mismatch; • To explore the development of labor market flexibility and new forms of employment driven by technological integration. The study employs general scientific methods, including analysis and synthesis, empirical observation, logical deduction, and comparative analysis. The research relies on statistical databases provided by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia and the Statistical Committee, as well as strategic frameworks developed by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and the Government of the Republic of Armenia. To ensure a comprehensive analysis, the study incorporates expert assessments and academic literature from Armenian and international researchers, while comparing the indicators of Armenia with those of neighboring regional countries. Driven by digitalization and technological advancements, the labor market is undergoing a profound process of technological integration. Although the risk of "digital unemployment" is emerging, the demand for highly qualified specialists is simultaneously surging. Consequently, public policy must focus on developing human capital, stimulating innovation, and establishing effective mechanisms for workforce adaptation.
