Didactics of Human in AI Form
Abstract
Technological applications, innovations, and advancements characterize modern society. More interestingly, the use of technology in the 21st century has brought about rapid change to human existence and essence. Many countries, especially the developed countries, have invested so much in technology and are reaping its benefits; however, other countries are gradually following suit. So, to speak, artificial intelligence is a brand of advanced technology, but its impact on society has become a matter of concern in terms of safety and risk. Thus, this paper adopts a didactic philosophical method to ascertain the moral status of AI irrespective of its varied forms over the ages. The paper, therefore, considers AI as a human companion to better society, if need be, alongside upholding the argument that functionality makes AI a morally acting agent while malfunction incapacitates its purpose, a double-edged sword determined by human actions.
