Meta-Analysis & Forest Plot Generator
Abstract
Meta-Analysis & Forest Plot Generator is a free, browser-based tool (no installation required) that turns study data from a systematic literature review into publication-style forest plots and heterogeneity statistics in real time. Users choose a data type: binary (events/totals), continuous (mean, SD, n), or generic (effect with 95% CI). They then select an effect measure (odds ratio, risk ratio, risk difference, mean difference, or standardized mean difference as Hedges' g) and a random-effects (DerSimonian–Laird) or fixed-effect model, and enter one card per study. The app pools effects using inverse-variance weighting and applies automatic 0.5 zero-cell correction. It reports I², τ², Cochran's Q, the Z-test for the overall effect, and a t-based prediction interval. Results appear in a Cochrane/RevMan-style forest plot showing study weights and pooled diamonds, with a funnel plot view for assessing publication bias. Titles, direction labels, and English or Indonesian chart labels can be customized, and results export as SVG, high-resolution PNG (4×), or print-ready PDF. Designed as a companion to the PRISMA 2020 Flow Diagram Generator, it is ideal for teaching, training, and drafting systematic reviews, with final results best verified in reference software such as RevMan, R (meta/metafor), or JASP.
