TL;DR
The feasibility of integrating multimodal liquid biopsy and volumetric imaging into routine neurosurgical practice for GBM is demonstrated, and the proposed workflow provides a reproducible foundation for larger studies aimed at advancing clinical implementation of liquid biopsy strategies.
Liquid biopsy represents a promising complementary approach to conventional tissue pathology and neuroimaging in glioblastoma and its greatest future value may lie in longitudinal molecular monitoring and integration with MRI, radiomics, artificial intelligence, and other molecular profiling approaches.

The utility of ctDNA, particularly CSF ctDNA, as a complementary diagnostic tool in neuro-oncology is supported, with a promising performance of ctDNA analysis in patients with diffuse gliomas as a liquid biopsy strategy.

Glioblastoma CNS WHO Grade 4 (GBM) is associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates despite the current therapeutic approaches. Conventional imaging, in particular Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), is primarily used during follow-up to detect tumor recurrence but has limited ability to distinguish recurr...

Background Spinal glioblastoma (GBM) is an exceptionally rare entity and poses significant diagnostic challenges due to a substantial risk of neurological morbidity with surgical biopsy. Tissue-based analyses are frequently limited by sampling constraints and tumor heterogeneity. Conventional diagnostic modalities, inc...

Glioblastoma and diffuse gliomas pose major therapeutic challenges due to marked intratumoral heterogeneity, limited tissue accessibility, and the blood–brain barrier. Tissue-based next-generation sequencing (NGS) remains essential for WHO CNS5 molecular classification, yet it is invasive and poorly suited to serial mo...
