Integrating Psychological Context Understanding into Chatbots for Wellbeing Support Using Full-Stack and NLP

Abstract

In this project, the presented project is one of the interactive chatbots called MindWell that is intended to be used to offer convenient, personalized mental wellness support. The system provides a full-fledged platform with multi-modal interaction with voices and text, mood tracking and emoji-based interface, daily motivational text, therapeutic games and professional mental health resources. These chatbot uses natural language processing to have conversational interactions with the users keeping privacy and empathy. The platform has a user dashboard, which consists of several therapeutic modules: Joke of the Day, which improves the mood, Motivational Thoughts, which helps feel inspired daily, Mood Tracking, which allows selecting visual emojis, Written Reflections journaling, Doctor Recommendations, which consults a specialist, Mind Relaxation Games, which relieves stress, and Activity History, which evaluates progress. The main chatbot element is two-way voice, which enables a participant to express himself, and the chatbot responds to the articulated issue with voice, which makes the therapeutic dialogue more natural and interactive. The system was developed with modern web technologies with the help of Flask and React and has the potential speech recognition API and machine learning models of intent recognition and response generation. The project is innovative in its digital mental health support because it integrates several modalities of therapeutic support into one accessible platform. Mind well has the potential to become a powerful tool in maintaining mental wellness and supporting early intervention due to its ability to offer unconditional and timely assistance to users and monitor their progress over time..
