Strategies and technologies for maintenance and repair of thermal equipment in continuous production environments
Abstract
The article provides a comprehensive analysis of strategies, technologies, and organizational models for MRO of thermal equipment in continuous production environments typical for metallurgy, chemicals, and energy. Key features of continuous production (straight-line flow, system interdependence, high downtime costs) imposing specific MRO requirements are discussed. A comparative analysis of preventive, condition-based, and run-to-failure maintenance is presented, justifying a flexible hybrid model. Modern diagnostic methods and repair specifics under tight shutdown windows are detailed. The role of digital technologies (digital twins, IIoT, AI) in flow synchronization is highlighted. The conclusion emphasizes a dynamic, data-driven MRO system for process continuity and economic efficiency.
