Abstract
DS EV Battery Enhancement — Version 7.1 Release Notes Motivation This update focuses on improving reliability and correctness in the diagnostics pipeline. The goal is to prevent misbehavior on newer Python versions, reject edge‑case inputs cleanly, and ensure malformed configuration files fail fast with clear messaging instead of ambiguous exceptions. Changes & Improvements Escaped percent signs in --soh and --soc help text to prevent formatting errors on newer Python builds (scripts/diagnostics.py). Added math import and non‑finite input rejection so NaN/inf values cannot bypass range checks for SOH, temperature, voltage, or SOC (scripts/diagnostics.py). Improved JSON config handling — vehicle_profiles.json and safety_thresholds.json now fail cleanly with clear logged errors when parsing fails (scripts/diagnostics.py). Added regression tests covering diagnostics --help rendering and rejection of non‑finite inputs (tests/test_hardened_pipeline.py). Testing Summary Unit tests: python3 -m pytest -q tests/test_hardened_pipeline.py -k 'not installer_safety_gating' Result: 7 passed, 1 skipped, 1 deselected. Static checks: python3 -m compileall -q scripts tests Result: succeeded. Verified diagnostics help output: python3 scripts/diagnostics.py --help Result: percent‑escaped help text renders correctly. Full test attempt: python3 -m pytest -q Result: installer‑related test could not complete due to environment blocking GitHub access (HTTP 403) during CMake/FetchContent clone of pybind11; all other tests passed where prerequisites were available. git diff --check Result: clean.
This publication proposes a definition and a classification of agile software development approaches and analyses ten software development methods that can be characterized as being "agile" against the defined criterion.

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

The results indicate that software engineering work practices are chosen opportunistically, adapted and configured to provide value under the constrains imposed by the startup context.

The results show that the embedded industry has been able to apply agile methods in its development processes and that the appreciation of the agile methods and their individual practices appears to increase once adopted and applied in practice.

Consequences of happiness and unhappiness that are beneficial and detrimental for developers' mental well-being, the software development process, and the produced artifacts are found.

Requirements in large systems rarely exist in isolation. Their meaning depends on the wider project context - other requirements, policies, decisions, tests, and implementation details. That becomes especially important when AI is used for review, because spotting a possible conflict or gap is only the beginning. ReqSpace explores how AI, visualisation, and connected project context can help reviewers understand those findings, trace the relationships behind them, and focus on the questions that…
AI is making software generation faster, but speed does not remove the need for expertise. As more work is delegated to AI, tacit knowledge may become one of the most important human advantages in software engineering.
