A bibliometric review delineates the research trajectory and hotspots in RASP and offers a reference for future study planning, resource allocation, and evidence-based practice.
To characterize how the evidence base has developed, English-language RASP publications indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection through 18 June 2026 were mapped to indicate publication growth, contributor and collaboration patterns, citation foundations, and changing research themes.
Overall, the field has progressed from demonstrating procedural feasibility toward evaluating patient-centered and longer-term clinical value, however, the continued prominence of “single institution” research and the concentration of output within expert centers may limit the generalizability of the evidence.
The findings reveal a steady increase in annual publication output, with a peak observed in 2024, indicating growing global research attention to this topic and growing global research attention to this topic.
