Abstract
Pyrazoles represent a privileged heterocyclic scaffold in modern medicinal chemistry owing to their remarkable structural versatility and broad spectrum of biological activities. Over the past decade, pyrazole-containing compounds have gained considerable attention as key pharmacophores in the development of therapeutically relevant agents, including anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antimicrobial, and antiviral drugs. Several clinically important drugs such as Celecoxib, Ruxolitinib, and Crizotinib highlight the pharmacological significance of the pyrazole nucleus. Furthermore, recent years have witnessed the approval of new pyrazole-based drugs by regulatory authorities such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, emphasizing their continued relevance in drug discovery. This review systematically summarizes recently synthesized pyrazole derivatives along with their diverse biological activities, focusing on structure–activity relationships and key synthetic strategies. Special attention is given to emerging trends in the design of pyrazole hybrids and their therapeutic potential. The compiled data provide valuable insights into the evolving role of pyrazoles in medicinal chemistry and may serve as a useful reference for future drug development endeavours.
This review outlines synthetic strategies for N-((5-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl) carbamothioyl) benzamide derivatives, evaluates their biological activity, and discusses structure–activity relationships (SAR).
