Moderate to Late Preterm Birth and Cognitive Differences From Childhood to Midlife

Sep 2026 · Figshare

Abstract

This dataset contains the numerical source data underlying the figures in the manuscript “Moderate to Late Preterm Birth and Cognitive Differences From Childhood to Midlife.” It includes separate Microsoft Excel workbooks for Figures 1–4 and eFigures 1–6.The source-data files contain aggregate, non-disclosive values used to generate the corresponding figures, including adjusted cognitive differences, confidence intervals, cohort-specific and pooled estimates, childhood-adjustment analyses, missing-data sensitivity analyses, measurement-invariance assessments, and related diagnostics. No participant-level data are included. Individual-level data from the National Child Development Study, the 1970 British Cohort Study, and the Millennium Cohort Study remain access-controlled and are available to eligible researchers through the UK Data Service under the applicable data-use agreements. This software archive contains the analysis and figure-generation code supporting the manuscript “Moderate to Late Preterm Birth and Cognitive Differences From Childhood to Midlife.”The archive includes the frozen R analysis pipeline for the National Child Development Study, the 1970 British Cohort Study, and the Millennium Cohort Study; code for data construction, validation, latent-variable modeling, childhood-adjusted analyses, multiple imputation, selection weighting, measurement-invariance testing, MNAR tipping-point analyses, meta-analysis, and sensitivity analyses; and a portable graphics pipeline for reproducing the main and supplementary figures from aggregate source data. The archive also contains package manifests, variable-source documentation, expected-result files, execution logs, session information, and numerical validation outputs. In the verified clean reproduction, all 35 manuscript-scope scripts completed successfully and all 2,008 frozen expected-result checks passed. No participant-level data, imputed participant datasets, or fitted model objects are included. To reproduce analyses requiring individual-level data, researchers must independently obtain the relevant NCDS, BCS70, and MCS files from the UK Data Service and configure the local data paths as described in the included documentation.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

Agile methods in European embedded software development organisations: a survey on the actual use and usefulness of Extreme Programming and Scrum

The results show that the embedded industry has been able to apply agile methods in its development processes and that the appreciation of the agile methods and their individual practices appears to increase once adopted and applied in practice.

Requirements Don’t Live in Isolation: What We’re Exploring with Req-Space

Requirements in large systems rarely exist in isolation. Their meaning depends on the wider project context - other requirements, policies, decisions, tests, and implementation details. That becomes especially important when AI is used for review, because spotting a possible conflict or gap is only the beginning. ReqSpace explores how AI, visualisation, and connected project context can help reviewers understand those findings, trace the relationships behind them, and focus on the questions that…

Beyond Prompt Engineering: The Role of Tacit Knowledge in Software Engineering

AI is making software generation faster, but speed does not remove the need for expertise. As more work is delegated to AI, tacit knowledge may become one of the most important human advantages in software engineering.
