Abstract

Genome editing to insert an inhibitory element into the 5' untranslated region of the stearoyl-acyl carrier protein desaturase gene OsSSI2 fine-tuned fatty acid composition, creating mutants with enhanced bacterial blight resistance while maintaining normal growth and yield.
