Abstract
Remote patient monitoring (RPM) has evolved to be one of the ground-breaking approaches in the current healthcare sector since it enables the monitoring of the patient 24/7 and in cases other than when the patient is in the typical clinical environment. RPM in combination with immersive health technologies like virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) is transforming the process of providing personalized, patient-centred care. This chapter considers how the idea of RPM can be developed into the world of immersive health setting where cloud-edge computing infrastructures, wearables sensors, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices would have the ability to introduce a seamless system in data collection, visualization, and interaction. The chapter also considers factors of user experience focusing on engagement and ease of human–computer interaction of the patients and medical professionals. In order to reveal the practical impact, such significant spheres of application as the management of chronic diseases, care of old age, rehabilitation, and monitoring of mental health are investigated. This chapter provides an in-depth summary of how immersive RPM systems can improve the healthcare outcomes, efficiency, and accessibility in next-generation digital health ecosystems by describing current trends and future research objectives.
This publication proposes a definition and a classification of agile software development approaches and analyses ten software development methods that can be characterized as being "agile" against the defined criterion.

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

The results indicate that software engineering work practices are chosen opportunistically, adapted and configured to provide value under the constrains imposed by the startup context.

The perception of the impact of agile methods is predominantly positive, and several challenge areas were discovered, but based on this study, agile methods are here to stay.
