The Dark Engine Room and Dynamic Recalibration: Door 26 — KORA Adaptive Control at the Fidelity Gate, Reversible Phase Memory, and the Constrained Differential Geometry of Reality (Document 109)

Sep 2026 · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)

Abstract

This monograph establishes the operational and mathematical specification for Door 26 (Recalibration: The Dark Engine Room), the autonomous parameter governance and epistemic correction layer of the realization architecture. While Door 25 regulates the Sim-to-Real boundary via non-expansive metric projection, Door 26 governs the adaptive updating of internal models under the absolute distinction: Candidate != Consequence. No machine learning model, neural network, or optimization routine is granted autonomous commit authority (standalone_commit_authority = NONE; learning_authority = PROPOSAL_ONLY). We formalize four core architectures: 1. KORA (Adaptive Control at the Fidelity Gate): A quantum or cyber-physical state is extended into a governed state x_K(t) = (rho(t), theta_hat(t), P_theta(t), K_gamma(t), D_K(t), F_G(t), d(t)) enforced by the strict four-nines cut surface F_G >= 0.9999 and kernel drift bound D_K <= delta_K. 2. Reversible Phase Memory (RFM): An active pendulum architecture where memory is not stored by destructive overwriting, but maintained as a phase transformation under an involution F^2 = I, where any bitflip or phase distortion breaks the roundtrip F(F(s)) = s and trips fail-closed. 3. Kreativ-Core & KY-ROX: An asymmetric engine decoupling the thinking asylum (Fail-Open) from historical sealing (Fail-Closed) via the ROX counter-surface and preventing three diagnostic collapses: Anti-Engine, Anti-Rosetta, and Anti-E-TOR. 4. The Geometric Closure of Reality (Osserman Connection): Proving through differential geometry and Jacobian constraints (dF in K) that spacetime curvature is a selection scar over eliminated paths under the absolute law: Reality = Omega o Pi_K o Phi. All ten control organs (L1–L10) are verified in deterministic software (52/52 tests, 100% pass) under the monorepo invariant: INSPIRED_BY != IMPLEMENTS != PROVES.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

Requirements Don’t Live in Isolation: What We’re Exploring with Req-Space

Requirements in large systems rarely exist in isolation. Their meaning depends on the wider project context - other requirements, policies, decisions, tests, and implementation details. That becomes especially important when AI is used for review, because spotting a possible conflict or gap is only the beginning. ReqSpace explores how AI, visualisation, and connected project context can help reviewers understand those findings, trace the relationships behind them, and focus on the questions that…
