Food Safety Supply Chain Management Using Monad Testnet Blockchain and Thirdweb Integration
Abstract
The increasing complexity of modern supply chains necessitates secure, transparent, and tamper-resistant systems to ensure product safety and data integrity. This study presents a blockchain-based the food safety supply chain management system utilizing the Monad Testnet as a high-performance EVM-compatible environment and the Thirdweb framework for deployment. The development process is initiated via a command prompt using the command npx Thirdweb create contract, followed by a structured workflow: defining the project name, selecting the framework (Hardhat or Foundry), and choosing the contract type (e.g., ERC20 or Empty Contract). Within the project directory, essential installations via NPM include Node.js, the @Thirdweb-dev/contracts library, hardhat for development, dotenv for secure environment variable management, and ethers for blockchain interaction. Experimental results demonstrate successful on-chain data recording, with a verified transaction recorded at block 7 653 455 using 155 668 gas units. The study demonstrates that integrating Monad and Thirdweb enhances data integrity through immutable cryptographic evidence while maintaining development efficiency.
