Jehang-jaerip-ron [EO-IRE]: A Bio-Strategic Theory of the Behavioral Patterns and Future Trajectories of State and Corporate Entities
Abstract
Also available on SSRN: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=6169986 Abstract / Description (Refined) This paper introduces Jehang-jaerip-ron [EO-IRE], a novel theoretical framework designed to analyze the survival, growth, and interactions of complex human organizations, such as states and corporations. EO-IRE adopts a relational ontology defining existence through relational bundles formed via alignment and extrication processes. Grounded in structural homology with biological life processes, the theory conceptualizes organizational dynamics through the principles of order restoration and disequilibrium resolution. The core innovation of this framework is Sangsonik (RRR; Relative Resource-Return), a relational analytical variable shaping alignment/extrication relations (Maet-gwangye [AR] / Tte-gwangye [ER]) and their associated stakes. RRR is conceptually structured to permit future operationalization and quantification, while functioning in the present framework primarily as an analytical principle for evaluating changes in relational configurations and their implications for survival. Unlike conventional distinctions such as connected/disconnected or positive/negative ties, EO-IRE treats Maet-gwangye (AR) and Tte-gwangye (ER) as distinct relational statuses: relations that an entity must establish, sustain, or strengthen for survival and goal attainment, and relations from which it must detach or that it must weaken or remove, respectively. Changes in RRR can induce transitions between these statuses, thereby reconfiguring the broader relational bundle. EO-IRE provides a systemic, mechanistic framework for analyzing and anticipating organizational behavior through relational dynamics conceptualized differently from those in conventional evolutionary or economic models. As the fundamental principle of EO-IRE©Ido, the world operates as a constant process of re-establishing order, with underlying energy resolving disequilibrium via alignment/extrication processes. The document also provides canonical definitions, operational rules, and illustrative case studies, including the US stock market, NATO collapse, Sino-Russian relations, Korea-Japan relations, and the AI-Robot era. Statement on AI Assistance The EO-IRE framework was developed through the author’s sustained process of reading historical books, reflecting on the behavior of states and organizations, and repeatedly recording and refining those reflections in handwritten notes, prior to any use of generative AI. This process of independent reading, reflection, and handwritten note-taking began prior to the author's use of generative AI and has continued since then. The practice of dating these handwritten notes was adopted subsequently and remains ongoing. Generative AI was not used in the formation of the EO-IRE theoretical system or in the original development of its concepts and principles. AI tools were first used only after this original theoretical development, for auxiliary purposes such as translation and procedural assistance in preparing the independently developed framework for public dissemination through Zenodo. All concepts, generative principles, theoretical logic and lines of reasoning, structural elements, and other theoretical content of EO-IRE, as elaborated in Maet-Tte [맺떼] (EO-IRE Strategic Philosophy System [EO-IRE 전략사상체계]), were independently developed by the author. Updates & Source The Water War in South Korea, originally released in installments on the author’s blog between July 10 and September 5, 2026, was subsequently revised and edited in part and published on September 15, 2026, under the title Why We Fight Without Being Deprived: A Future Scenario of the Water War in South Korea. ISBN 9791112294876 (2026-09-16) Update note (11 September 2026): A Statement on AI Assistance was added to the description to clarify the scope and nature of generative AI use. The theoretical content itself was not revised as part of this update. The Brunch article "Scenarios the Korean Government May Face Around 2030" (Korean: 2030 전후 반도체, 정부가 맞이할 수 있는 시나리오), first published on 17 July 2026, was expanded and published as a book on 28 July 2026. ISBN 9791112248602. (2026-07-28) Added the concept and definition of Blindfolded Racehorse Rush©Ido (BRR) (2026-07-21) Added Yang-Gyunhyung (Positive Equilibrium) and Eum-Gyunhyung (Negative Equilibrium) (2026-07-11) Added the concept and definition of Inter-Anomaly Encounter (IAE) (2026-07-11) Added HyeHae [BH] (Benefit-to-Harm) and HaeHye [HB] (Harm-to-Benefit) (2026-07-06) RRR definition refined for conciseness and greater clarity conciseness. (2026-06-26) Added 'Boundary Within Boundary'©Ido [BWB] as a formal concept within the EO-IRE framework. (2026-06-19) RRR definition refined for clarity and precision. (2026-06-15) Expanded the EO-IRE framework by formalizing Maet-mok (AS), Tte-mok (ES), and Mok (AES), and introducing the Distribution Principle of Stakes. This revision clarifies the relationship between Maet-gwangye, Tte-gwangye, stake distribution, and relational dynamics. (2026-06-13) Added 'Jeonjang Jeoni'©Ido (Battlefield Shift) [JJ] and 'Boy-Who-Cried-Wolf Inertia'©Ido [BWCI] as formal concepts within the EO-IRE framework. (2026-06-08) An expanded exposition of EO-IRE was published as Maet-Tte [맺떼] (EO-IRE Strategic Philosophy System [EO-IRE 전략사상체계), ISBN 9791112191557. The book elaborates the implications of EO-IRE through an aphorism-and-interpretation format. (26-05-08) Added the "RRR Matrix" and the "Dual Thresholds of Sangsonik" framework. This version incorporates the conceptual definitions of Hye & Hae. Incorporated the conceptual definitions of Haedo (Kiugi) & Haeya (Gumgigi). Ontological clarification added: The EO-IRE framework now explicitly specifies its relational ontology and classifies the Core Engine into four primitive dynamic concepts — AER, BR, RRR, and DEP. Terminology Refinement (RRR): The definition of RRR has been updated from "Relative Risk-Reward" to "Relative Resource-Return." This change clarifies the framework’s focus on the strategic allocation of multi-dimensional resources and their relational returns, moving beyond conventional risk-assessment models.
