Global triazine herbicide pollution impairs marine phytoplankton nutrition through disruption of acetyl-CoA-related metabolism.

Herbicide contamination impairs marine primary productivity, yet its subcellular impact on phytoplankton carbon allocation remains poorly understood. Global monitoring (1990-2023) revealed triazine herbicides as the dominant coastal pollutants, with atrazine and simazine exceeding 80% detection frequency; their combine...

Heavy Metal-Induced Phytotoxicity, Accumulation, and Phytoremediation Potential of Euryale ferox Salisb. in the Wetlands of North Bihar, India

Euryale ferox Salisb. is an ecologically and economically important aquatic macrophyte widely cultivated in the wetlands of North Bihar, India, where increasing metal contamination may pose risks to plant growth and wetland sustainability. The present study evaluated the comparative phytotoxicity, growth responses, tis...

Evaluation of the Phytoprotective and Plant Growth-Promoting Role of Pseudomonas agronomica in the Forage Crop Lupinus albus var. Dorado Grown in Mercury-Contaminated Soils

Soil contamination by mercury (Hg) represents a significant ecotoxicological risk due to its high toxicity and environmental persistence. This study evaluated the effects of the native strain Pseudomonas agronomica on the growth, physiological status and antioxidant response of Lupinus albus cultivated in soils with di...

Comparative Responses of Invasive and Native Plant Species to Combined Cd and Microplastic Pollution.

Overall, the invasive species showed greater tolerance to combined contamination and maintained relatively higher rhizosphere functional activity than the native species, indicating that multi-pollutant stress may alter competitive interactions between invasive and native plants in contaminated environments.
