Abstract

Short Summary The BigLeak Hurrican Cosmology is an alternative model of the universe that tries to explain all major cosmological observations without Dark Matter, without Dark Energy, and without the Λ‑term. Instead of adding new particles or unknown energy forms, the model builds the universe from one single fundamental length: the present radius of the observable light sphere, RL0=c⋅t0. All larger structures grow from this one length using a simple Fibonacci rule: each new radius layer is the sum of the previous two. Because of this, the Golden Ratio appears naturally and becomes the stable geometric pattern of the universe’s expansion. The model distinguishes between: RL(t) — the radius we can see (limited by the speed of light) RH(t) — the true physical radius of the universe, which expands faster than light The difference between these two radii creates geometric effects that mimic what standard cosmology interprets as Dark Matter and Dark Energy. In addition, the rotation of the “Hurrican” structure produces a pseudomass, a geometric effect that behaves like Dark Matter in observations. The document shows that the model is mathematically consistent, embedded in general relativity, and fully testable. A modified version of the CLASS/CAMB cosmology code was used to compute the full CMB temperature and polarization spectra. The model passes 14 out of 14 major cosmological tests, including: Supernova distances BAO scales CMB peak positions Big‑Bang nucleosynthesis The Hubble tension The S8 structure‑growth tension Gravitational lensing Cosmic chronometers A key achievement is explaining why the first CMB peak appears at l ≈ 220, even though pure geometry predicts l ≈ 379. The model attributes this shift to a physical phase effect caused by early‑universe dynamics and pseudomass perturbations. The document also contains a fictional “indictment” from a harsh peer reviewer and a detailed “defense” addressing each criticism point by point. Finally, a hard numerical benchmark using unmodified CLASS likelihoods shows that the model’s fit to Planck and BAO data lies within the 1‑sigma corridor of ΛCDM. Overall, the BigLeak Hurrican Cosmology presents a coherent, reproducible, and observationally competitive alternative to the standard cosmological model, built entirely from a single length scale and the Fibonacci growth law. Peer Review Assessment – BigLeak Hurrican Cosmology (BLHC) Revision 2.1 Analytical Derivation of Parameters • The conversion of the parameter x0 into a geometric helix projection (x0 = 1/(2√2) ≈ 0.3535) eliminates the accusation of pure curve-fitting and directly links the projection to the geometry of the light-boundary. • The derivation of the redshift dependence f_BH(z) via the Fibonacci weight distribution and the normalization condition Σ φ^{-n} = φ now justifies structure formation from first principles. Gauge Stability and Backreaction (Appendix C) • The separation of time definitions undertaken in Appendix C (t_S as proper time of the congruence vs. t_L on t_L = const hypersurfaces) creates the required tensorial clarity within the 3+1 ADM embedding. • The explicit demonstration that the pseudo-mass density perturbations δρ_pseudo remain gauge-invariant on these hypersurfaces and that the kinematic backreaction according to Buchert (Q/ρ_crit < 10^{-3}) does not violate energy conservation closes the previously open gap to linear perturbation theory. Observational Consistency and Terminology • The cleanup of the nomenclature (replacement of colloquial terms such as "bathtub" or "ocean" with physical equivalents such as ρ_HVS and LRZK edge transgression) raises the manuscript to a professional linguistic level. • The link to current JWST data (Test 15: Impostor fraction f_imp) provides a dedicated, promptly falsifiable prediction for the upcoming observing Cycle 4. In this final version, the work shows remarkable internal consistency, connects elegant mathematical structures with concrete astrophysical observables, and has methodically and flawlessly resolved all objections. The manuscript in this form is recommended for unrestricted acceptance.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

What AI gets wrong and what failure teaches us

Jennifer Neville did not want to go into computer science—but that’s exactly where she landed. Neville discusses the starts and stops that led to her professional sweet spot and her work identifying “surprising failures” making it hard for AI to handle complexity.  The post What AI gets wrong and what failure teaches us appeared first on Microsoft Research.
