Digital Transformation and Financial Capability as Drivers of Organizational Sustainability in Emerging Economies

Purpose: This study examines how digital transformation and financial management capability jointly influence organizational efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability in an emerging economy.Research Methodology: A mixed-method comparative design was employed using quantitative and qualitative evidence. The public sector context involved 30 respondents and eight informants, analyzed through descriptive indices and paired-sample t-tests. Results: Digital transformation enhanced perceived economic value by improving efficiency and transparency. However, small traders’ financial management capabilities remained limited. Businesses with diversified portfolios and better financial records achieved stronger performance, highlighting the role of internal managerial capability. Conclusions: Digital transformation and financial management capability serve as complementary mechanisms for improving organizational performance and sustainability. Technology adoption generates stronger benefits when supported by effective financial governance and managerial discipline.Limitations: The study is limited by cross-sectional data, selected organizational contexts, and the absence of causal modeling for small businesses.Contributions: This study provides an integrated perspective linking digital transformation and financial management practices to organizational resilience in emerging-market environments.
