High LDL-C levels were associated with increased cardiovascular risk in patients with chronic kidney disease but not in patients with end-stage kidney disease after multivariable adjustment, suggesting stage-specific LDL-C targets are needed to optimize cardiovascular risk management in chronic kidney disease.
