Draft genome data of Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Dublin strain S08 from Vietnam

This dataset presents the draft genome sequence and functional annotation of Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Dublin strain S08, sequenced using the PacBio Onso platform. De novo assembly produced a 4967,012 bp genome in 50 contigs with a GC content of 52.11%. Structural annotation identified 4790 coding sequences (CDSs), 75 tRNA genes, and 4 rRNA genes. ANI analysis confirmed assignment to S. enterica subsp. enterica serovar Dublin (99.97–100% identity to reference Dublin genomes), a classification further supported by in-silico MLST, which assigned the strain to ST10 (clonal complex 53). Functional annotation assigned 4398 genes to at least one of the COG, KEGG, or GO databases. VFDB screening detected 176 virulence-associated genes, including SPI-1/SPI-2 type III secretion system components. CARD profiling revealed 40 antimicrobial resistance determinants, including multidrug efflux systems and beta-lactamase genes. MOB-suite analysis identified three mobile genetic element clusters, including a putative conjugative plasmid carrying IncC, IncFII, and IncX1 replicons. This dataset provides a reusable genomic resource for studies of virulence, antimicrobial resistance, and genomic adaptation in Salmonella enterica.
