Development and external validation of a pre-operative prediction model for new-onset atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass grafting

New-onset atrial fibrillation (NOAF) is a frequent complication following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and is associated with prolonged hospitalisation and adverse outcomes. Existing clinical risk scores have shown variable performance in surgical populations. Improved pre-operative risk stratification...

Comorbidity phenotypes, prognostic implications and ABC pathway effectiveness in early-onset atrial fibrillation patients: A latent class analysis from the Tianjin Atrial Fibrillation Project.

Three heterogeneous comorbidity-based phenotype clusters were identified in early-onset AF patients, associated with different treatment and prognosis, and full ABC pathway adherence improved prognosis in younger AF patients, regardless of their comorbidity phenotypes.

Beta-Blocker Use After Acute Myocardial Infarction

Among patients with AMI complicated by HF, in-hospital BB use was associated with lower 1-year adverse outcomes risk in HFrEF/HFmrEF, but not in HFpEF.

LDL-C–stratified residual lipoprotein(a) and inflammatory risk after acute myocardial infarction among patients with prior statin use

In patients with AMI despite documented prior statin exposure, the prognostic associations of residual inflammatory and Lp(a) risk appeared to differ across admission LDL-C strata, supporting the potential value of LDL-C–stratified residual risk assessment.
