Aggregation-induced BODIPY photosensitizers for synergistic type I/II photodynamic antibacterial therapy.
These heavy-atom-free BODIPY photosensitizers integrate AIE, Type I/II aPDT activity, and in vivo wound-healing performance against MRSA, thus successfully addressing the major limitations of conventional BODIPY photosensitizers.
