THE ODYSSEUS ENGINE: A ZERO-DATA, DECENTRALIZED COGNITIVE EDGE OPERATING SYSTEM FOR P2P DESKTOP SUPERCOMPUTING

ABSTRACTModern high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence infrastructures are fundamentally bottlenecked by cloud dependency, incurring immense computational costs and violating data privacy in mission-critical sectors. This paper introduces the Odysseus Engine, a decentralized cognitive edge operating system that transforms idle local hardware into a "Desktop Supercomputer" capable of executing between 70 Million to over 7 Billion operations per second natively. By enforcing an absolute "Zero-Data" physical constraint, the engine operates completely air-gapped within browser-based Web Workers. The system orchestrates five specialized autonomous agents via a proprietary Evolutionary Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) core, utilizing WebRTC Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Swarm intelligence and Conflict-free Replicated Data Type (CRDT) memory synchronization. This architecture enables continuous, autonomous structural logic mutation and Monte Carlo simulations without external API reliance or centralized database synchronization.
